Sunny Spain living up to its reputation
Easter is earlier than usual this year but that’s not an issue for visitors to the beautiful Costa Blanca in Spain, lapped by the sparkling blue Mediterranean Sea. The sun promises to be shining all day, almost every day, with early spring temperatures in the high teens celcius, even in the shade.
Traditional Spanish homes were built to deflect the heat and keep the sun at bay through small windows, which meant that many of the rooms were almost dark during the daytime. Thankfully, technology has enabled us to discard all that od thinking and build well insulated homes in a modern, contemporary style, allowing plenty of natural light to flow in through large glass windows – with the added benefit of enjoying the wonderful views.
Even in March, it’s usually warm enough to wander around in light clothing and even take a quick dip in the pool if sheltered from cool breezes. A stroll along the almost empty beaches of the Costa Blanca can make a very pleasant alternative to commuting to work in Britain. It is a perfect time and place to rewind, relax and recharge.
Better still if you don’t have to rush back!
Think about a home away from home – an investment in property seems to pay off in the long run and can even be used to generate a small income to more than cover any running costs.
